NOMAD ABU DHABI
2026
For its debut at NOMAD Abu Dhabi, Galerie Negropontes presents a curated selection of fine art and collectible design, brought together within a dreamlike landscape shaped by movement, balance, refinement, and purity.
Set within Terminal 1 of the former Abu Dhabi Airport, an iconic structure designed by Paul Andreu, the presentation occupies a space once dedicated to departures and travel. Poised between memory and renewal, the gallery has conceived a journey in which collectible furniture, sculpture, photography, and light installations enter into dialogue through a shared visual language. Together, the works form a landscape of mineral reliefs, organic forms, enigmatic flowers, and luminous presences, inviting visitors to wander between reality and imagination.
At the heart of the selection is a profound sensitivity to material. Stone, metal, wood, glass, ceramics, and textiles are worked and transformed to reveal qualities that are at once unexpected and intrinsic to their nature.
Movement runs throughout the selection of works, residing not only in physical form, but in the way each piece evolves in response to the viewer’s gaze.
